VEGMEX
Due to my interest in designing a vegan Mexican restaurant. I have a strong passion for both vegan cuisine and Mexican culture and believe that combining the two would create an unparalleled dining experience for the clientele.
I believe that a vegan Mexican restaurant would fill a gap in the market and would be a great addition to the Montreal restaurant scene.
Mexican culture is loved by many people for its rich history, vibrant colours, delicious food, and friendly people. The country has a diverse array of indigenous cultures and influences from Spanish colonialism, creating a unique blend of traditions and customs. From the ancient ruins of the Aztecs and Mayans to the colourful festivals and celebrations, Mexican culture is full of life and energy. The cuisine, which is a fusion of indigenous and Spanish flavours, is renowned for its delicious and complex flavours. Furthermore, Mexican people are known for their warmth, hospitality, and strong sense of community, making it a welcoming and inclusive culture.
The general ambiance of the restaurant would be a blend of traditional Mexican elements and modern design. The use of natural materials such as woven textiles, clay pottery and terra cotta would give a rustic feel to the space. The bright colours and bold patterns of Mexican art, such as the Talavera tile, would add a touch of vibrancy to the decor. The hand-carved wooden furniture would give a traditional touch and Folk art such as hand-painted pottery and woven baskets would be used as decorative accents.
Our clientele would be a diverse group of people, including vegans, vegetarians, and those looking for a unique dining experience. We would cater to families, couples, and groups of friends and offer a casual and welcoming atmosphere for all.
The type of food intended to be served would be authentic vegan Mexican cuisine, all made with plant-based ingredients. It would also have options for gluten-free and raw food. The menu would be constantly evolving, with new and exciting dishes added regularly to keep things fresh and interesting for customers.
